Every year, there are over 400,000 reports of missing children in the United States.
25 years ago, the “Runaway Train” music video featured images of real missing children across the U.S. The video helped recover 21 children.
How many children could we bring home today, if we used modern technology to update the video in real time?
RUNAWAY TRAIN 25
In 2020, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), collaborated with Soul Asylum to reimagine their hit song “Runaway Train.”
A music video accompanied the all-new cover, featuring images of real missing children in your area, no matter where you are.
CREATE YOUR OWN VIDEO
If you know of a missing child, you can create a custom music video with their name and photo to share.
GAS STATION TV
With high foot traffic and a quick turnover of customers, it’s not unlikely for a missing child to pass through a gas station. In the summer of 2020, the “Runaway Train” video was viewed by thousands of people on GSTV stations across the country. If you were pumping gas in Texas, the targeted music video featured missing kids from Texas.
This media placement led to a 60% increase in tips for NCMEC. More importantly, there are 61 missing children recovered, to date.
